The Work
The work was born from a walk along Berlin’s old Grenzstreifen, in Steinstücken — a strip of land that was once an enclave or an exclave, depending on your point of view. Along that line, people were shot; long before, in Brunnenstraße, a child heard the gunfire at night — sounds that, terribly, became “normal.”
“Sometimes the blue flower appears, and it’s not there by chance,” says a friend.
This piece holds onto that apparition: a tiny memorial where fragility and stone meet.
