The Work
This work originates from a primal image: in preschool years, the artist “moulds” in her mind the figure of the mother peeling potatoes, seated on a stool, knife and bowl beside her, surrounded by vegetables. The everyday gesture becomes form, rhythm, and posture. A small domestic architecture made of a curved back, diligent hands, and suspended time. It is not merely a memory, but a study of a “position of devotion,” an attitude that the work crystallizes and offers to the viewer as the emotional core of family life.
