The Work
Like a watercolor that takes shape in ceramics, this "Wild Rose" captures the ephemeral essence of a wildflower at the moment of its full beauty. The pale pink petals stretch across the ivory surface of the bowl, while thin green veins tell the story of stems dancing in the wind. The decoration comes from a spontaneous gesture, applied to raw ceramics through the transparent engobe technique. Each trait is unique and unrepeatable, like the flowers that inspire this collection. The delicate craquelé that develops during reduced cooking adds a temporal dimension to the work, evoking the passing of the seasons.
